Declaration on accessibility in the brickyard park

General information

Arrival by car Berliner Ring on the A 10 to Kreuz Oranienburg. Continue on the B 96 in the direction of Stralsund – Löwenberg to Gransee. Then turn right at the roundabout in the direction of Zehdenick. Turn left one kilometer after Badingen and follow the signs to the Ziegeleipark. For electric vehicles, you are welcome to use our e-charging station in the season from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Keys are available at the visitor center. The car park with three disabled parking spaces is 300 meters from the main entrance. Path condition: pavement, concrete slabs. You are welcome to drive to the museum, get out there and then move. For coaches The car park offers sufficient space for coaches.
Arrival by bike Location: long-distance cycle route Berlin – Copenhagen. Journey time Zehdenick train station to Ziegeleipark: 30 minutes. As a guest of the brickworks park, you can charge your e-bike for free. Possibility of using the in-house bicycle rental. Our bikes can also be borrowed from the ELAN petrol station in Zehdenick.
Arrival by public transport From Berlin to the Ziegeleipark via Gransee With the regional express RE5 from Berlin to Gransee. On weekends, public holidays and during the Brandenburg holidays, bus 854 runs from Gransee train station to Ziegeleipark and back. From Berlin to the Ziegeleipark via Zehdenick With the regional train RB12 (Berlin-Lichtenberg – Templin Stadt) every hour to Zehdenick (Mark). From Zehdenick continue with the bus 838 daily from Monday to Friday. You can request an individual call bus on weekends and public holidays. This can be booked 90 minutes before departure on 0049 3306 2307. During the holidays, only scheduled taxis with limited space are available. The bus stop is 200 meters from the main entrance to the Ziegeleipark. Road surface: asphalt and pavement
Information on the outdoor area of ​​the brickworks park Expansive, authentic industrial site. Various buildings with exhibition areas can be visited. Condition of the path: different, often uneven, tracks with track beds. Mobile ramps are available. Our employees will be happy to help you. Visitors with restricted mobility are also welcome to ride the brickworks and the Tonlorenbahn. Wheelchairs, walkers and an electric vehicle (two-seater) can be borrowed.   Information about the Brickyard Park The main entrance with the visitor center is barrier-free accessible via a permanently installed ramp. The exhibition rooms in the individual historical buildings also have different floor conditions. Obstacles (e.g. doorsteps, steps) are marked. Inside, bottlenecks, uneven floors and track beds are to be expected. You are welcome to come with an accompanying person. Event rooms on the first floor can only be reached via stairs. With an 18% gradient, the existing outer slope is unsuitable for visitors with restricted mobility. The doors of the exhibition areas open outwards. Some door openers are available. Ceiling of the drying chamber in the machine hall: less than 2.20 meters high. Lockers are located in the visitor center. Seating is available everywhere. Audio guide is available. The toilet areas with disabled toilet and emergency call button are located on the ground floor. There are baby changing areas in the ladies’ and gents’ toilets. If necessary, you are welcome to visit our exhibition with an accompanying person. The lighting conditions are different in the individual exhibition areas. Artificial light is used in the exhibition area. Individual objects are additionally illuminated. You will find daylight and artificial light in the stairways and event rooms. We pay attention to a good illumination of our rooms and objects and try to avoid reflections. For the most part, we use high-contrast fonts and text backgrounds for our exhibition texts and object descriptions. Most exhibits are freestanding. Selected objects can be touched. In the visitor center there is a terrain model that can be touched with Braille. Guide dogs are allowed in the exhibition rooms. Track beds are equipped with sleeper bridges in many places, which enable them to be crossed without any problems. There are slight inclines in the exhibition areas, but they are manageable. But you are welcome to come with an accompanying person. The doors, entrances and aisle widths are wheelchair accessible. A sufficient turning circle is partially given. Showcases and exhibition texts are easy to see and read. Notes for families The exhibition rooms are easily accessible with a pram.
