Weddings between tracks and trains

Getting married between field railway trains and tracks is an unbelievable experience –  and one you can have in the old coal bunker, which today is home to the field railway display.  By the way, it is also where original and exhibition texts tell the history of the field railway as the most important means of transport in the brickyard.

  • Capacity: 80 people
  • Bookable: May to August

Weddings in the old boiler house

Here is where steam was once used to dry the bricks. Today you can tie the knot in this striking venue. The old boiler house belongs to the brickyard´s engine rooms and is home to the multimedia production “Workers in the VEB”. Former brickyard staff report on how hard working life was here during the GDR era.

Days on the working stage Ring Kiln III

The ring kiln revolutionized the brick industry in the 19th century. The continuous fire provided consistent brick quality. The ring oven consists of a large oval with around 14 to 18 large chambers in which a fire can be maintained independently of one another.

The opportunity to organize an event on a disused Brenner stage is second to none. A visit in advance is recommended! It is an open stage that cannot be heated. The historic floor was laid with bricks and is therefore uneven.

meetings in the steam engine house

The brickworks built in 1927/28 by the entrepreneur Georg Stackebrandt was the most modern in the region until the mid-1950s.

The large steam engine, which once generated the workforce for all the brick-making machines, electricity for the lighting and the electric drives, provides an extraordinary backdrop for receptions and smaller events.
