Friedrich Hoffmann memorial exhibition
With the invention of the ring kiln, it was possible to produce building materials for the emerging Berlin on a mass and continuous basis. In memory of its inventor Friedrich Hoffmann, the support association has developed an exhibition that can be found on the former Brenner stage. The Berlin master builder registered the patent for the “ring furnace” in 1858. This marked the beginning of the industrialization of brick production.
Participatory activity in the Ziegeleipark
The members of the support association support the tour guides of the Ziegeleipark with the numerous hands-on activities in day-to-day business. In addition to guided tours and interactive activities on Handstrich, the brickworks driving license, train rides on the narrow-gauge railways through the park and through the Uckermärkische Seen Nature Park to the Burgwall opencast mine.
